I have the same problem as the ThreadStarter.
Are you getting exactly the same messages?

I suspect not, as afaik the OPs problem was fixed, and when testing this I see a different problem

Code:

rpdom@raspberrypi:~$ apt --dry-run install sambaReading package lists... DoneBuilding dependency tree... DoneReading state information... DoneSome packages could not be installed. This may mean that you haverequested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstabledistribution that some required packages have not yet been createdor been moved out of Incoming. The following information may help to resolve the situation:The following packages have unmet dependencies: python3-talloc : Depends: libtalloc2 (= 2.4.0-f2) but 2.4.2-1~bpo12+1 is to be installed python3-tdb : Depends: libtdb1 (= 1.4.8-2) but 1.4.12-1~bpo12+1 is to be installedE: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
This is a different problem to the OP's one. It looks like something has got out of step in the repositories. A libtalloc2 from Debian backports has got in there somehow.

I shall see if I can sort out a workaround...

[update]
I found a workaround. I can post it if you can confirm that you have the problem I posted. It's possible that was just something I previously messed up on my test Pi, so might not be relevant to you.
