Perfect example of Moore's Law in action - halves the cost of implementing anything in an IC every two years.When I worked at HP in the late 1980s and early 1990s, we designed machines (HP98735 with HP-PA CPU) for the mechanical CAD market that had similar performance and cost about $80,000. Now in 2025 it costs $4!
