Hi,

SO I explain,

To simulate the 12V of a battery from sailing ship,

I use a power supply( 0-30V and 0-10A) output = 12V mac current = 5A
This supply go trought a voltage reducer from 12 to 5V
The 5v output go tu a UPS board x708V2 qho's supply the rasperry via GPIO
On the power supply I have to indicator qho's give the voltage ouput and the current output.

After the rpi-update, the voltage indicated by the power supply was on 22V.
I shutdown rvrey thihng, and now when I give 5V from the power supply, the current limit is rached,
no red led on the Raspberry, and the circuitry close to the USBc connector becom very hot..

I aggre with you that the raspi is 'ripped'......

Michel
You either bumped into the power supply and caused it to set the voltage output to 22v or something else did.

The updated is not the cause.

Sorry for you Pi loss.
