HATs and other add-ons • Request case suggestions for 16 GB Pi 5 w/M.2 2280

I've a Raspberry Pi 5 16GB on order and have already purchased the following auxiliary components:
- 6ft. Micro HDMI to HDMi cable
- Raspberry Pi 27 W USB-C Pi 5 Power Supply
- UGreen USB-A 3.0 TF/SD Card Reader
- Kingston (Canvas Select Plus) microSDXC 64GB card
- Kingston NV3 NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD 500GB (This is a M.2 2280 form-factor unit).

I already have a Logitech K400 Plus keyboard and dongle, which I believe works well with the Pi 5.

I would very-much appreciate suggestions on a suitable case with active cooling for the above; as well as any extra components that are required and not supplied with the case.

I am rather concerned about the stories of poor WiFi connectivity with metallic cases. However; I'm not sure if those stories were related only to ferrous cases or whether they applied to aluminum cases as well. I am also interested in a case that is fairly robust and not prone to warping/discolouration due to sustained heating. I believe that some cases provide better access than others to the Pi 5 pins/ports. As I'm not yet sure how I'll use the unit, the greater the flexibility, the better. Basically; I am fully open to suggestions, but would appreciate enough explanation to feel comfortable that I won't have insurmountable problems.

I should reiterate that I am new to Raspberry Pi 5 and have not yet fully determined my end-use for the unit. I am considering running things like; Pi-Hole, Kodi and ExpressVPN. However; I will likely play with it a while and see what it can do, before finalizing my plans.
