I can’t find the instructions I was following earlier, but here’s what I did:
I connected +5V and GND from the Raspberry Pi to the relay module shown in the link — specifically to the vertical pins on the far right: +5V to the bottom pin and GND to the top pin.
Then I connected one of the Raspberry Pi GPIO pins to the relay input pin on the right side (for example, to the pin for relay 1).
It didn’t work this way, so I tried supplying 5V DC directly through the light-blue screw terminals above those pins — and that ended up damaging my Raspberry Pi's.
