Hmm. I'm pretty sure we fixed it with Pi Connect but I'm not sure about with other VNC clients. The problem here might be realVNC's fault.
What might fix it is to edit `/usr/sbin/wayvnc-run.sh` and add the `--render-cursor` option at the end of the last line. Let me know if that works.
I also hit this issue yesterday. 4B, 5" official touchscreen with 90 degree rotation set in the desktop gave a mirrored cursor in realvnc client.
I can confirm that, at least for me, adding --render-cursor followed by a reboot fixed the issue.
