Shipping the board was going to cost as much as the Fruitjam itself
Paying ~$80 is ridiculous. I am not even convinced the Fruit Jam is worth $40 when you can get a Pi 5 2GB for $50, a Pi Zero 2W for just $15.

Its only appeal is it is arguably the best there currently is for a Home Computer based on RP2350. Though I think I'll be favouring a Waveshare RP2350-PiZero with an RM2 breakout attached ($20 total) when I am making this year's Christmas list.

I won't argue there's no point to an RP2350-based Home Computer but there's nothing really serving that niche. Not sure any third-party will produce anything that will.

What I am hoping is that Raspberry Pi will add PIO to the RP3A0 used on the Pi Zero 2W, a means to boot from on-board SPI Flash, and create something new for the Pico-range, supported by the Pico SDK for that. If it can also run Raspberry Pi OS from SD Card and be priced around $20-$25 I think it would sell well.

Code:

.----.-------------------------.-------.--------.----------.-------.-----.-----.|  $ | Product                 | Flash | PSRAM  | Wireless | Video | SD  | USB ||----|-------------------------|-------|--------|----------|-------|-----|-----||  5 | Pico 2                  |  4 MB |      - | -        | -     | -   |  1  ||  7 | Pico 2W                 |  4 MB |      - | CYW43    | -     | -   |  1  || 10 | Waveshare RP2350-PiZero | 16 MB |   pads | -        | DVI   | Yes |  2  || 15 | Pimoroni Pico Plus 2    | 16 MB |   8 MB | -        | -     | -   |  1  || 22 | Pimoroni Pico Plus 2W   | 16 MB |   8 MB | RM2      | -     | -   |  1  || 29 | Olimex RP2350pc         | 16 MB |   8 MB | -        | DVI   | Yes | 1+4 || 40 | Adafruit Fruit Jam      | 16 MB |   8 MB | ESP32-C6 | DVI   | Yes | 1+2 ||----|-------------------------|-------|--------|----------|-------|-----|-----|| 15 | Raspberry Pi Zero 2W    |    GB | 512 MB | CYW43    | HDMI  | Yes |  1  |`----^-------------------------^-------^--------^----------^-------^-----^-----'
I think there may even be mileage in creating the software which allows a Zero 2W to boot and run as a bare metal device, programmed via USB as the Pico-range is, supporting use of Arduino IDE or the Pico SDK to program for it.

It seems to me that a number of people have asked how to use a Pi as if a microcontroller and this may be the answer to that, could even be extended to other Pi in the range.
