We are aware that the RP1 datasheet is low on detail, and it will be looked into; but there is a stack of other documentation that needs to get done first.
Hey thanks for responding. Great to hear there is more doc on the RP1 coming!

I truly believe this to be a game changer, and a very unique selling point of the Pi 5. The PIO is an insanely capable IO machine (just look at what folks do with the Pi zeros already), and the RP1 finally couples this with dedicated processing power (2 cortex M3 cores) and a fast enough interface (PCIe) to a host that is able to deal with these large amounts of data. This bundle has the potential to replace many costly and cumbersome FPGA based solutions, with something that basically runs OSS software and costs around 60USD.

If not an SDK, at least somewhat complete the documentation would already help a lot  (preferably the PCIe controller first, as this is much more complicated than the clock stuff). Anyways any info you can give on the RP1's workings is appreciated!
