For SPI? This bus does not need resistors acting as Pull-Ups, as opposed to e.g. I2C.

For I2C I would not use the internal resistors however, but external ones in the 3.3 kOhm - 10 kOhm range.

Are you familiar with the concept of Pull-Ups at all? Maybe interesting:
