I've often wondered if using a splitter cable would work, (probably need a 47A PSU), to power several RPi from just one source PSU.....to my mind it should work......but I've yet to find such cables.... :)
Something like this?

But the unsplit section of the cable most certainly can't cope with 9A and neither can the master plug..
Indeed...I would suspect that it's just intended for charging multiple phones and the like..

As I said....

The way that I power multiple Pi's that are being mains powered is to use a 240v multi-gang with a separate power supply plugged into it for each PI. It works and it's cheap.
