I'd use a Pi4 for that. It's a much easier platform power wise. Nothing that can't be overcome on a Pi5, but there's loads of threads on here of people with problems.
Maybe if it needs to be Raspberry, but note that various alternative ARM64 boards can be connected directly to 12V (something between 5 to 20 actually). Also lower lithography, so easier longer runtime.
