Troubleshooting • Pi5 desktop resolution changes intermittently

Hello,
my Pi5 desktop HDMI resolution is 1920x1080.
However on occasion some boots show the resolution in 1024x768.

I navigate to Pi5 -> Dock -> Menu icon -> Preferences -> Screen Configuration -> Screens -> HDMI-A-1 -> Resolution -> 1024x768 848x480 800x600 640x480.

I try a few reboots but now there is no resolution choice for 1920x1080.

Possibly related to my microHDMI port issue? viewtopic.php?t=388443 Particularly post Wed Jun 18, 2025 6:21 pm
