I'm not sure there is an requirement for more power for a Pi 500, unless it would have more USB ports. The Pi 5 will run with an NVMe boot drive from the official Pi 5 power supply. Perhaps if the default boot device on the Pi 500 is to be an NVMe drive, with no SD card slot, then they might use the higher voltages on the PSU to get more power into the board, but if there is still as SD card slot then it's probably not worth the extra expense.I'd be surprised if a Pi 500 appeared in time for Christmas 2023. I find it interesting, however, that a keyboard computer would have more space for the power circuitry needed to handle a 12V source and that the official Pi 5 power supply can output higher voltages.I doubt that.
The production of Pi5's is going to take some time, Pi500 Xmas 2024?
The Pi5 was a 7 year project.
Since Pi400 is already available, a Pi500 when it will come is planned for since years already.
