there are 3 other things ive found that help reduce power usage

1: dtoverlay=disable-wifi
2: dtoverlay=disable-bt
3: dont plug in anything hdmi

if you do both 1 and 2, then the wifi power rail is turned off, and power usage drops some

if you do 3, then the 2d subsystem remains off, reducing power
if you plug an hdmi cable in, the 2d subsystem comes on automatically, but the only way to turn it off is to unplug hdmi and reboot
