I have a compute module 4 Lite 8GB ram version with a Waveshare nano base board (https://www.waveshare.com/cm4-nano-b.htm). The board used to work a few months ago for a different project, but when I recently flashed a fresh OS (Raspbian Desktop 64-bit) to the micro sd card, the board will not boot up.
Symptoms:
1. When only power is connected: red power LED is on but weak, green LED flashes at 16Hz consistenly (if my phone camera slomo is accurate). As far as I can tell, 16Hz is not documented behavior (https://www.raspberrypi.com/documentati ... lash-codes).
2. When power and HDMI is connected with no micro sd card, same LED behavior as above and no HDMI input detected by monitor.
3. When power and HDMI and newly flashed micro SD card are all installed,
What I tried:
- Flashing different OSes (Raspbian legacy desktop, ubuntu, Raspbian Lite), and nothing changed.
- Used different SD cards, both with no problem being recognized flashed on mac. Nothing changed.
- Used different power supply, nothing changed. Both worked with my RPI 3B.
- Used different monitors, nothing changed. Both monitors worked with my RPI 3B.
- Used two different Waveshare carrier boards, nothing changed.
- Reset EEPROM with instructions here (https://www.raspberrypi.com/documentati ... oot-eeprom), nothing changed. This is likely not successful since the success LED pattern is not seen.
- Tried usbboot, but got stuck at "Waiting for BCM2835/6/7/2711/2712...".
Is this likely a hardware failure then?
