Yes, vary basic Linux principle. Same for blank SD-card or HDD; /dev/mmcblk0 resp. /dev/sdaFrom what i understand crucial p3 is pretty well supported and it uses a physion controller which is the one most nvme hats like to see.
So regardless of whether the drive holds any volume information lspci should be able to see it?
Check flatcables etc, more I don't know, I don't have a Pi5. I have Samsung NVMe's in other ARM SBCs, but I also think the Crucial is one that should work.
