I’ve never had an issue with systemd-timesyncd having wrong time or sync problems, and I do like the fact that it’s easy to configure in the systemd style of configuration.
However, it does take a bit of time to get synchronized after a system boot. I switched to using chrony with iburst (in the sources config) and it syncs 10-15 seconds faster than systemd-timesyncd.
Not a huge amount of time in the grand scheme of things, but for an impatient person (present company included
) 15 seconds is nearly a lifetime.
