Provided Continuous AF has been disabled, I think you get that 1.0 setting by default. Of course you might want a different focus position.
We used to leave it uncontrolled (so the lens could be adjusted externally using v4l2-ctl) but the Libcamera folks didn't approve, so now it can only be set from within the application.
