my version was also 24.10, it is just newer and not working. god knows why both wiki and firmware site give links to non-working image by default.
so now i have same version as you are and i can't update anything.
in diagnostics i also cannot ping sites, gettingbut i cant make ping to numbers under netwok - diagnostics, like 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8 and so on. i tryed to add option dns '8.8.8.8' to /etc/config/network but no luck.
tryed adding option ipv6 0 to disable IPv6 for the network interface in /etc/config/network
