OK, well I tried the string listed on that page, and all I got was:
bash: Astro: No such file or directory
I have no idea about Linux, so I don't know why things don't work when I follow instructions.
As such, I think I'm just crying uncle on Bookworm, and I'm just gonna try my luck with Ubuntu, as there are readily compiled versions of KStars there (it took me over two hours to compile KStars in Bookworm).
