I will study the code from the suggested link, but at first glance it seems like a solution beyond what I expected, as I do not yet have this knowledge of the Cortex-M0 and RP Pico. I would have to know the ADC and DMA well to reach this level.
Regarding the DMA check, I do not see any need for it because there is only one task that uses it and it is the one that buffers the ADC samples, the other tasks use I2C directly, from PIO to neopixel (still in the same ADC task), there will be another task that will process the results collected by the ADC through a Fourier transform and tinyML.
