General discussion • Re: Pi 505?

I just heard about the Pi 500 but I also learned that it is a low-spec machine, so it is not an "instant buy" for me.
Is there any word on when a new variant (Pi 505?) will be release that has 16 GB of RAM and an empty but working M.2 slot?
Such a machine would suit my home computing needs in a couple ways:
1) I just can't bring myself to use Windows or MacOS; the Pi is Linux-native which is perfect.
2) My current 11-year-old Macbook, which runs Debian, has the same benchmark scores as the Pi 5, and that level of performance is fine for everything I do.
Your post makes no sense. A pi with 16gb of ram has the same spec as a pi with 8gb of ram. It only has twice the ram. Ram alone does not make a machine high or low "specs", only high or low "ram specs".
It's a low-effort drive by.
