Raspberry Pi OS • Re: Components needed for Debian to match Raspios

Currently the bookworm distro still only supports kernel v6.1.0-28 as the highest release. So hopefully with ARM getting into the hosting business there will be more current kernel versions released.
The Debian Bookworm Linux kernel version has nothing to do with ARM hosting business. I just updated a RPi3B that runs Debian Testing, is now kernel 6.12.6. Same for RK3588 board (also ARM CPU, but not a RPi). You could also compile a 6.13 release candidate kernel yourself if you want newer.
You can only virtualize the Arm CPUs of a RPi, the rest won't work as it is not ARM but Broadcom and/or RPL siilicon.
What RPi do you have?
I have several RPi4 (8) and they are all running the latest kernel version (v6.6.62). My issue is with my virtual RaspiOS & Debian machines. For those, v6.1.0-28 is the highest version kernel available. It is my desire for them to release a more current version of the kernel for the virtual computers.
