Just to be clear, CM4S is a CM4 but in the CM1/3 SO-DIMM form factor - https://www.raspberrypi.com/products/compute-module-4s/Oh wow there is a pi4 cm3 style out there. Thank you. That would be the CM4S, specifically designed to be compatible with CM3 carrier boards.Hello, I was wondering If anyone has saw a Cm3 to Cm4 adapter board So I can use my Cm3 on a Cm4 carrier board? I know a lot of things won't work such as the second HDMI and the PCIe. And that is okay, I just wanted to get it working.
I have saw a Cm4 on an Cm3 board. But not the other way around.
And--just FYI--a CM3 doesn't have a second HDMI output, nor an exposed PCIe lane so I think what it *looks* like you're trying to do is doomed even if you manage to succeed in connecting a CM3 to a CM4 carrier.
It won't work with a CM4 I/O board (or alternative carrier) as you had originally requested.
