Troubleshooting • Rotating the ADS7846 Touch Screen

I have been unable to rotate my ADS7846 touch screen after updating my 3B from jessie to bookworm. I duplicated my original configuration, but when that didn't work I tried every suggestion I could find online, to no avail. Rotating the display's a piece of cake, but the touchscreen's being very mysterious. Here's my workaround until someone can point me to the actual solution:
