Heck yeah, many thanks to those who started the foundation and conceived of the Pi. I can't remember where I first heard about it, but it may have been through the hackerspace Noisebridge. Maybe a HOPE conference. Anyway, I remember the excitement of the idea of a $35 single board linux computer aimed at helping children learn. I was all in. I ordered one, but I had to wait many months because the demand was so hot. I got one in finally in 2013, says made in China.
I joined this forum May 2013. I had a period of time where I didn't post for 10 years after I got mine working. Now I'm back interested in the Pico.
Great people and project. The Raspberry Pi turned out to be much more than expected.
