you wouldn't by chance be using a wireless mouse plugged into the rpi5 & wifi at the same time
if you are, you can try putting the wireless dongle on a extension or hub away from the rpi5 body
it's a known issue of interference
Yeah i know. That is not the problem. I have tried so many things and some more. You name it, i have tried it. At the end of the day, the mouse cursor and mouse responsivenesss issues are the result of multiple factors. A combination of KDE Plasma + wayland and RPI itself. RPI guys somehow solved the flickering mouse issue on RPIOS but i think the "mouse input latency" on wayland is still there. I just tried it and yeah, it is still there. That is why i am still on X. We have talked about this before in other threads. Some people do not even notice the delay, but people like me, the old people, we notice the drag, especially under load.

I wrote to Manjaro forum about the flickering mouse cursor issue. Let's see if any reply will come. I mean if i am on X, everything is still fine. It is a matter of how much you want to use wayland. I am not in a hurry.
